The Tomato Experiment

In May we did a tomato experiment. In the experiment we tried to find out how much fertilizer, water, and light tomato plants need. Our class was divided into 6 groups with 3 people in each group. Each group got 9 plants. Three plants got different amounts of water. Three plants got different amounts light. Three plants got different amounts of fertilizer.

We watched the plants for 4 weeks. We wrote down our observations twice a week. We used the computer to play a game called Botanical Gardens that let us change the fertilizer, water, and temperature for different plants and see what happens to the size of the plants. Then we created a seed packet for a plant that we invented. On the front we drew a picture of the flower and on the back were the planting instructions. In the end, we found out these things:
